I think this question is fundamentally flawed. Trees live for such a long time (in some cases many hundreds of years). Because of this, if they came to life, I believe that they would try and persuade humans to act differently, not resort to senseless violence.
Having said this, if they in fact decided to execute me, I would choose a giant Californian redwood. I think the sheer size of this tree would make the death swift... and it wouldn't have the imagination to make my death long and torturous, like a willow might, nor the motivation that an apple tree might (after many long years of seeing it's young plucked from it and eaten within its sight).

Apple tree. That way, once I'm done with the chainsaw and the molotov cocktails, I can put one foot on my opponent and be all like Chuck Norris and say "And how do you like them apples?" right before I chow down on delicious roasted red fruit.
I'd fight a Bonzai tree except I bet they know kung fu and would totally kick my ***.
