A Muslim man can marry a non-Muslim woman. But A non-Muslim woman canNOT marry a Muslim man. I think that Muslims and Hindus should not marry [unless they can work things out] because there will be a lot of controversy. For example, what religion will you teach your children - Hinduism or Islam? Also, whether you will keep idols in your home. Darling, I hope you understand. You sound like a very sweet girl and I hope Allah [sWT] will guide you! :) P.S. Usually, the fact of a Muslim marrying a Hindu is frowned upon. I'm not sure why. :)

Islam says that Muslim girls cant marry any non-Muslim man, not only Hindu, and this is because it is believed that sons should follow the religion of the father, and its refused that a Muslim mother give birth to non-Muslim sons.

I don't know where you are. I think you are in India that's Muslims are minority. In my place a lot of Muslims live and become majority, and you must know that almost people in my place take family planning program. So, we never worry that our population will stop growing.
Be smart guy, Muslims are around the world. You can find Muslims every where in the world.
Religion is the basic principle of life and marriage is to combine two different character to build family life. So how can marriage will build strong and wealthy family life with different principle of life between husband and wife.
And how about the children? There will be uncertainty and inconsistency of the way of life and finally makes them confuse and suffered.
Even though the cultures look like similar but religion makes them different in specific conditions, for example we'll never eat pork but we like to eat cows, and many other things those you have to consider.
For the last one, I'll never give my daughter for other religion's male because I don't want to make her suffer in the future.

Muslims believe that there's none but one God. According to Islam we're all decendants of Adam and Eve (Hawa). So far there're only Four religious books recognized by Islam. Those are Taurat, received from God by Abraham, Zabbur, received from God by Moses, Inzil or Bible, (The Old Testament), received from God by Jesus Christ and the last one is Quran, received from God by Prophet Mohammad PBUH. The followers of all these four religions are called Ahle Kitabi or Who Has the Book. All other religions eiother believe in the plurality of God or Idol worshipers. Its the ,mandate of these four religions are that Ahle Kitabi people must not marry a boy or girl who are outside of these four religions, unless converted. That why a Muslim boy is barred from marrying a Hindu girl unless she's converted to Islam. But neither Indian Constitution nor Laws in this respect give any restraint to any particular sect from marrying inter-sect or inter-religion. Under Special Marriage Act, 1955 any adult Indian can marry any Indian irrespective of cast, creed and religion unless they are prohibited to marry each other by prohibited degree of relationship.

The provision is healthy if we take into account that arranged marriages, which are prevalent in the said community, the matchmaking parents look for similarity of background in the bride and the groom. Similar provisions exist in other religions also. No religion permits inter religion marriages. But in democratic societies and incidence of love marriages going up, civil marriages, marriages solemnised by courts, recognise the marriage of all faiths with spouse from all faiths.

Islam says that Muslim girls and boys cannot marry Hindus. Its not about population, its about being religiously compatible and the family...what kind of children will result from different religions? Anyway, Hindus shouldn't complain...in orthodox Hinduism...only the same caste can marry! Remember the Brahmins?!

Probably because someone who created the rules in Islam had no idea of what they were getting into. There are civilized and sensible people in other religions too. So in todays scenario there isnt any restriction on such marraiges as far as law in India is concerned.

because when koran was written then profet didnt had any idea about any civilised religion n so he considered that any body who was a non muslim was an immoral n uncivilised person.....
but now the senario is different n i dont think that even God would mind a muslim girl marring a hindu boy... but it is some thing that her parents would never understand...because they r parents n parentse r ment to misunderstand the children n their happyness.
gud luck...
remember God is with u
