Pfft...geez...years. I don't let it happen anymore. Maybe back in highschool, when you'd stay up until 2am talking with your girlfriend. : )

My best mate (who is now stuck at home all day on his own) rings me up about once a week and talks utter grabage for around half an hour, just so he has someone to talk to I think.

I normally put my receiver on loudspeaker mode, leave it on the arm of my chair and carry on with what I was doing. His record in talking non-stop before I have to say something in response is just over 23 minutes.

I have a friend I have known since we were small, she rings me every now and then and only talks about things we did when we were growing up. It is sort of disappointing that we don't have much in common any more, and I feel bad that I sometimes avoid her calls.

So that is my person that rings but doesn't really say anything.

a couple of days ago, i have a friend whose life is consumed by her profession and thats all she talks about and every subject you switch to reminds her of a job story. lolololol she's a sweetheart, but VERY focused!

yesterday, my friend called me and rattled on and on about nothing really - I was frustrated cuz I had things I wanted to do and couldn't - finally my cellphone had had enough and died, for once it was a good thing!
