You need to have emitters at each plant. Each emitter 'Emmit's' a certain amount of water, depending on the style of emitter. Each plant needs a certain amount of water. Sometimes the plant you choose will need two of the emitters to give it enough water, maybe even three. If you know what plants you are planting, the nursery where you purchase your sprinkler supplies will be able to advise you on the type of emitter you should use to give adequate water with one emitter.
