I have built my last 2 PC's and had great luck. I am happy with AMD chips and willmore than likely do so again with my new system. But, Which AMD cpu is the best bang for my buck? I am planning on waiting till Windows Vista comes out, and am an avid world of warcraft player, I watch and use alot of multimedia on my pc.

So AMD FX, X2, or what? Price is an issue id prfer sub $200 chips but could be convinced to spend more.

You can get a deal on newegg but id suggest the X2 power house. The FX is great for gaming but the X2 is way more powerful for multitasking... In my opinion.. :)

Oh and to all the INTEL freaks WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would pay that much for a processor? Intel = High priced junk.
Stick with AMD they will never let you down im using my Athlon 64 that i built for two years now and not one issue has ever came up. And besides that I only use AMD when building and selling my gaming pc's never had a complaint. AMD FTW!!!!!1

I've always had better luck with AMD than Intel, so I'd recommend the AMD X2.

It is a really cool, dual-core processor. The price isnt that expensive.
