Just in Time (JIT) allows for right materials to be pulled in on a demand in the right quantity and at the right time rather than pushing it across the supply chain. The utimate goal will be to have a zero inventory in stock.

Just-in-case supply chain, I am not sure about. May be it is about having parts in store to ward off an eventuality that may arise by not having a part for production (like insurance!!!). It may be a case where the buyer's goal is to have the job to himself rathe than performing the job.
