I was fired from the job, due to no fault of mine by my boss who is the son of the President of that organisation. My boss's father called up last Tuesday and said he wanted to meet. I said OK. He said he would call up on coming Saturday(18th November 2006) to fix up the exact time, but he didnot. What should i take it as? In case he calls up this Saturday shall i say Yes i will meet or shall i make up an excuse. Also if they ask me to come back shall i say YES or NO?

You should try to meet with him to see what he has to say or offer maybe he wants you back and wants to apologize for what happened. About deciding to go back it is entirely up to you. Ask yourself: Did you like your job? Was it really something you really wanted to do? or was it just a "temp" job? Then take a decision. If your boss says he wants you back try to fight a little maybe you can get a better deal and something you really really want.

There are several things you should think of before you make the decision. First you were fired and according to you was not your fault. Now they called you back. Well I am sure you felt insulted by what happened. But if they called you back is a good sign, hopefully they will recognise they did a mistake and they will apologise. Now talk to them, Listen to what they have to say.I do not see a problem with that since you are no longer their employee and after that you decide if you want to come back or not. I should considered the salary. Was it good or not? Can you find a better job in a short time frame? Is this company good for your future. Do you believe it will open doors for you or is a job that wont do you any good. If you decide to come back......... Can you move on due to the fact that they fired you or you will hold a grudge. Those things are things that you will have to decide for yourself

I think u should not even entertain...if they are coming back is only business reason which would not last for long.......wish you good luck for yr job serach and finding the good employer. by the way what u do

Probably he want to clear things with you. What can you loose if you meet him? Don't forget life is full of opportunities just take advantage of them when they pass by you.
