If you were looking for a position in Recruitment, what are the things you would say to make sure you get it?

Talk about what relevant qualifications / skills you have that will transfer directly to the company.

Show some understanding of the industries they normally recruit for, at least the hierarchy of positions typically within the type of company - as you will soon be scouting them for names / contacts!

Wear a suit, show some professionalism in your mannerisms, speech etc. Be yourself, and relax.

Talk about yourself, talk about your life experience and what you have done and ways that you are able to persuade people. Make sure that you talk in general about being outgoing and enjoy meeting people. Mention that you have local contacts (be prepared to back this up with evidence) and investigate the local job market or the area which you want to work in (eg IT).
