I know I really hurt him. It had to do with his abuse as a child. I am completely stumped as to what to say or do to make it up to him.

What husband? Posting silly questions like the one above won't help with you with long term loneliness. Get out there and meet someone. I believe when you posted the question below, it was more sincere.

I am extremely short and childlike in appearance but I'm an adult! What are some ways I can attract guys?
Tired of being lonely.

apologize. pour your heart out to him. decide now that you will not say hurtful things like that in the future. do you hear what you just said? "to my husband for the sole purpose of hurting him.."?? that's terrible... he had people doing things to him as a child for the sole purpose of hurting him, and you are supposed to be a safe haven, his wife, to him. explain this to him and yourself. tell him how much you love him and you are sorry. stand by his side. touch him. give him patience. i hope all works out in the end.
God bless you two.

Whatever done cannot be undone...! Hurtfull words can be damaging to someone pride or confident or ego..

Even a thousand apologies wont help, what you can do now is start to regain his trust and avoid anymore hurtful remarks and have to be sincere in making up to him.

I'd apologize to him and tell him how much you regret what you said. Tell him your human and being so you sometimes say some stupid things without thinking when your upset. Hope he forgives you and the next time think before you say something. Like my father used to say to us when we were kids "one thing you can never take back and that is words." How true it is.

Just explain why you said it, and maybe he'll be able to let go. Apologize like crazy, and sucking up tp him won't be too bad either.

You cannot right a wrong with a wrong. He must be emotionally traumatised. Just show that you are sincere in your apology.
