My friend kept telling me to watch this movie, saying its horrible, this and that, so i decided to rent it on netflix. I think i got the remasterd edition. well anyways my friend told me that the scene with the chick in red was jus horrible, but the scene ended just as the guy was about to rape her. My friend also told that the chick in the theater gets raped, but she runs away. well anyway i was kinda disapointed, because i was even horrified or disturbed one by the movie. did i get a "watered down" version or is there another version which is the true"horrifing movie"?

OMG I love that movie!!! I wouldn't consider it violent by today's standards, but no doubt it was in 1971! Like Chris H recommended, see the UK version. When I first saw it in high school (15 yrs ago) I watched the video of it that my dad had. When my husband and I purchased a copy from Best Buy a few years ago and watched it, I could tell it had been edited (compared to my dad's copy--probably a bootleg).
