You can apear for some of competitive exams in India like IIT-JEE,AIEEE , BITS PILANI. All of this have last date till end of december.You should get a rank in these exams and got admission in a college offering Mechenical Engineering.

Almost 99% of all engineering colleges will have Mechanical engineering in the UG. I never found a college without mechanical and electrical. But you have to select a good institution if you dont want yourself to get added into the unemployed list. Mechancal engg is a bit tough to study when compared to other branches of engg................All the best.
