I think you have enough in your smart pretty head to make this paper great! It's all about you and how you feel and I know you are right! Being gay is not a choice. If so, why would someone want to live like that. Gay's are treated so wrong in the land of the free...AMERICA! Go on and write...You are so right in every way!

Thank you
Kelly

ok
i did my paper on this like last yr lol
basically...
i have no problem with some crazy ultra-right wing southern baptist saying she wants "preservation of mariage" cuz thats fine. only leave that up to churches to decide to ban or not ban, not the states or fed gov. from a legal standpoint, there is no justification for a christian loony to say she doesnt like gay marriage cuz the bible say its wrong, cuz of sepration of church and state... im gay and i have ALOT of gay friends who argue that gays a subject class and so are protected under the 14th ammednment and so are under equal protection violation but thats wrong. (gays and lesbians arent banned from marrying, they are banned from marrying the same sex, just like straight people are) i mean obviously im playing devil's advocate there. but thats the truth.. but i still dont think gays would qualify as a suspect class in that case....but even if i didnt, to try to argue that gays are a susepect class is not worth it and its not gonna convince christian moralists of anything anyway. so....
basically i dont think "sanctaty of marriage" should ever be justification for banning marriage between two consenting adults so far as the state is concerned.
BUT i also dont have a problem with individual churches decideding not to marry based on religious issues.
i can give you MORE info if you want but its getting long and rambled already lol

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears's 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I think gays should have the right to get married. just not by church since it's against their religion. It should only be legal in courts. as for church protester against gay marriage they should get over it. We're all sinners. God gave us free will you choose whether to do bad or good things. So don't judge them your not God!

I think that people should have the right to get married if they want to or have access to partnership! My friend fell in love with someone from Sweden and they can't be together because they are both men. Where if they had been man and woman, they could have gotten married. It is a bit unfair!

i dont have a,promblem with the gay community neither , but a gay marriage that is taking it too far a marriage is surposed to be between a woman and a man because thats the way God called for it to be so i think gay marriages is against Gods will.

personal in the constitution it talks about the separation of church and state so why is it again that they are outlawing gay marriage ??????? if a specific church has a problem with it well let them deal with it

There is absolutely nothing wrong with gay marriage. Its still love. The only ones who say its wrong is christianity. I find them extremely intolerant of anything that their precious book says is wrong.
