There are great movies that are marked "R" and there is no useage of God's name in vain. Other movies marked that use God's name in vain right in the middle of the movie and I have to turn it off and never can enjoy the complete movie. Why can't there be ratings that tell that God's name is being used in vain?

According to the site I listed below, movies are rated by a committee of men and women who watch the movie and then give it a rating according to theme, language, violence, nudity, sex and drug use. Also assessed is how each of these elements is employed in the context of each individual film. So, it is up to this committee to determine how the content should be rated. There is further information about how the rating system works if you follow the link to the page below.

The majority of society (even some Christians) won't be offended when people take God's name in vain. It has just become a common part of everyday speech, so the folks who rate the movies don't see it as possibly offensive.

watch the movie for what it is... just because you dont like everything in a movie doesnt make the movie bad... lighten up a bit... taking the lord's name in vain in a movie isnt the end of the world...
