They have an outside chance to get that last spot. Remaining schedule:
at Cleveland
Baltimore
Oakland
at Indianapolis
at Denver
Pittsburgh
That is probably the toughest remaining schedule for any of the teams vying for that last playoff spot.
Although looking at KC, NYJ, Jacksonville schedules, Cincinnati is in a good position those other teams mentioned are inconsistent but so is Cincinnati that is why they are 5-5 but the win at New Orleans can really catapult this team to where they should be. It will be a close race with Kansas City and Jacksonville I imagine. Cincinnati would like to see the Giants win Monday night and Denver next week against Kansas City and those others teams against those other teams. If those other teams lose and the Bengals manage to win 5 games from here on out they are locked in for the playoffs. If they win only 4 games at 9-7 it gets alittle dicey. That game against Pittsburgh at the end of the season may have huge implications.
And get this the Chiefs host the Jaguars at the end of the season, so damn it would be like a huge Elimination week if the Bengals can play as they did on Sunday in their resounding win over the New Orleans Saints. Although Drew Brees made alot of fantasy owners very happy. 510 yards wow Tecmo Super Bowl like.
Wait, whoa, the Jets play a somewhat weak schedule: Houston, at Green Bay, Buffalo, at Minnesota, at Miami, Oakland. Those road games will be tough except maybe Green Bay who got throttled 35-0 by New England but the others are cupcake city.
It's going to be tough for Cincinnati to accomplish this but I think they can do it with that last game against Pittsburgh being a pretty big game to decide things. But first they have huge hurdles to climb Baltimore Denver Indianapolis wow they are 5-5 and they haven't even played those teams!! Actually they have played Baltimore and lost. It will be tough but doable like Christina Aguilera. Right Am I right?

Yeah, At this point in the season the second wild card in the AFC is up for grabs. (Denver or San Diego will have the other)
The Jets have the easiest remaining schedule, their opponents overall W-L is 21-39. I dont think the Jets are quite a playoff contender, but neither is Pittsburgh. They arent going to win if Big Ben keeps throwing 3-4 Interceptions a game. If they keep relying on Willie so much hes going to end up burning out with a few games left in the season. Jax isnt a playoff team with Garrard at the helm.
I think KC will finish 9-7, with such a tough schedule ahead and a 10-6 NY Jets or Cincy Bengals will grab the remaining Wild Card.
If the Jags lose tomorrow, here are the standing for the AFC wildcards.
Denver or San Diego with Wild Card #1
Wild Card #2:
KC 6-4 (2-1 in division)
NYJ 5-5 (3-1 in division)
Cincy 5-5 (2-1 in division)
Jax 5-5 (1-3 in divison)
Pitt 4-6 (1-1 in division)
Buffalo 4-6 (1-3 in division)
Miami 4-6 (0-3 in division)
If the Jags win-
KC 6-4 (2-1 in division)
Jax 6-4 (1-3 in divison)
NYJ 5-5 (3-1 in division)
Cincy 5-5 (2-1 in division)
Pitt 4-6 (1-1 in division)
Buffalo 4-6 (1-3 in division)
Miami 4-6 (0-3 in division)
