The question "Who created man?" is a logical fallacy known as the Loaded Question. It presupposes the premise that someone created man.

But I bet that isn't the answer you're looking for.

No one "created" man...

Homo sapiens evolved, just like EVERY OTHER ORGANISM ON EARTH...

This has been proven, it is not 'JUST' a theory. It REALLY happened... and STILL IS happening...

This does not preclude a belief in a higher power or whatever... In fact, I know many christians who believe in evolution and their god... and find no conflict. They choose to believe that evolution was the mechanism god used to 'create' man and everything else.

I am an atheist, so I require no such explanations, but the evidence is there and it is overwhelming... To everyone who chooses not to put their head in the sand and try to ignore it. But people should be careful when putting thier heads in the sand... they might run into a fossil... doesn't that just screw everything up?

Genisis chapter 1 verse 26: And GOD said let us create man in our own image after our likeness and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. and this is what makes that true John chapter 1 verse 1 In the begining was the Word , and the Word was with GOD , and the Word was GOD. verse 2 The same was in the begining with GOD. verse 3 All things were made by him; and without him was nothing made. and this is why all this is true. Titus chapter 1 verse 2 In hope of eternal life, which GOD, that cannot lie , promised before the world began . and this is not a theory but the TRUTH have a nice night and take care.

Is man a product of random chance mutations sprung from a primordial soup that advanced, differentiated and acquired somehow reason.

Or was he designed either by a metaphysical force or a physical one as Francis Crick directed panspermia asserts.

The question isn't "who" but rather "was there agency involved".

We can take one of two routes. Either we assert as the archaelogists and forensics specialists that agency was involved, as a result of the many just right constraits necessary for the generation of man. Or we can assert that Nature had randomly selected out advantageous traits that eventually led to the generation of a human form. In both cases, we assign agency or anthropomorphized deliberation. The option is then left to the individual to choose which agent he most prefers.

Who is not the question, what is. Even god is not a who as being a supernatural being is an it, not a who. Man was created through evolution, it is the only logical answer. To those who point out the holes in available science I would like to say we are still very primative beings in that we have not existed very long in scientific terms. In time science will be able to answer all of these questions. Also it is important to realize that the origins of man are not the only chicken and egg paradox if you believe god is the answer. My question to the god answer is if god created man, then what led to the existence of god? If nothing created god then we are led to believe that if god created man then god was created in one instant and upon its conception was immediately all knowing and all powerful. That, to me is hard to accept so I will stick with science for my answers.

Man was, created by the ancestral gods and/or goddesses of their cultures. For example, the Hebrew people were created by their god (the Adam and Eve of the Bible) The original Greek civilization was created by the God Prometheus, the secondary Greek civilization by the actions of Deucalion and Phyrra. The Teutonic peoples were cerated by the Gods Odin, Vili and Ve (or Odin, Hoenir and Lodhurr in some areas). The same applies to the various other cultures, peoples and civilizations across the globe.

The fact that the various civilizations had different creations for their existance is sufficient reasoning for them to have been created by thier indiginous, traditional, ancestral gods and/or goddesses.

Supreme being with knowledge infinatum. Whether you care to believe Genesis or a more scientific approach, even scientists have to agree that such a random act as the formation of a living being is beyond our understanding. Only through faith can we come to grips with such an accomplishment. So, whether you care to believe in amino acid soup or theories and ideas regarding possible extra-planetary or extra-terrestrial origins of life hypotheses, it comes down to this...man was created - I prefer to believe by an act of God.

nothing was ever created matter and energy always have been
E=MC2 and M&E cannot be created nor destroyed but only transformed from one to the other and vice versa.....man evolved as did the cosmos as we know it all scientific knowedge attained to the present day supports this over myth and contrived superstitions designed to fool and mislead ... this can be debated for a long as one desires but I suggest using the scientific method of logic over fantasy

Just had to use caps, even though yahoo made you put in at least one lower case letter!
WHY DO YOU ASSUME THAT THERE HAD TO BE SOMEBODY. THAT IS ASSUMING THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION BEFORE YOU EVEN ASK IT. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT ANY ANSWER THAT STARTS FROM ANY OTHER PERSPECTIVE. IN LOGIC THIS IS CALLED BEGGING THE QUESTION. IT ACTUALLY MAKES YOU LOOK FOOLISH.
Now about explaining the theory, I doubt that you are sincere in your question and doubt that you are actually interested in an answer so no thanks.
