My friend and I had this bet on this song. I think the song is reffering to Santa, cuz what person asks her lover for a yacht and who goes down the chimney besides Santa? But my friend says I am being to literal and says its metaphoric. He backs it up saying "she asks for a ring, of course not from Santa because he is too old." BUT the idea that the singer is like flirting with Santa is funny, the whole purpose of the song.
I want to know others input and not just stupid answers that are irrevelant to the topic. SO PLEASE, my money is in stake!!

She's referring to Santa, but as a M_A_N , not just as Santa that kids all know and love.
She's a big girl and wants big girl gifts like a yacht a light blue convertible, a platinum mine, etc....
She's using her feminine mystique to try and get Santa to give her what she wants.
It's a Christmas song for grown ups, try not to analyze it too much , just enjoy it. It was meant to be cutesy, that's all.

Tell him that a 50 year old told you he is reading too much into this. Santa is a gift giver and if you have been good is supposed to give you whatever you ask for without getting anything in return. A gold digger's dream!
