Reservations were introduced in India in the 1950s for 5-10 year period to bring in equal opportunities for the backward classes. However, again and again due to vote bank politics this reservation system is still to go from this country even after 60 years of independece; its been extended again and again to keep the vote bank happy at the cost of equality.
No idea whether it would ever go or not...

As long as the suppressive attitude diminishes and calling them as untouchable it is a shame that we can not treat the fellow human being as equal. The down trodden shall be taken care. The upper echelon may not require but the poorest of the poor required to be protected.

till all people have equal in all trespect.if all provrty gone away from india then reservation is not at all required.

till there is 100% reservation in every thing. They may even pass a bill in parliament saying every house hold should finance one backward cast person.
