I am 5'11''. When i was younger sometimes I wished I was shorter, but I had to reconcile with the fact that it would never happen. People would be cruel to me, especially in elementary school. But when I turned 18, things changed. I took modeling classes and I began to learn how to exploit my height. I learned how to achieve a good posture and poise. Now that I am a 48 yr old woman, people tell me that I look elegant and distinguished. If I were a short fat middle aged woman I would not get compliments all the time.

Well, I am 5'10 and my best friend is 5'1 and we have discussed this before. She hates being that short most of the time. Although she does say that in many guys, it brings out the protective instinct. But she also says that she would love to be as tall as me. On the other hand, most of the time I love being tall. It does make me feel more confident. And I can't say that many guys have had a problem with it. Of course, I have always dated tall guys. One as tall as 6'8 which was the tallest I found. But to be honest, I married a guy the same height as me and even when I wear high heels, he doesn't seem to mind and I sure don't. So I really think it is just a matter of making do with what you were born with and being proud of yourself just as you are.

Well, I'm a 19 year old female and I'm only 4'11.
Some advantages is that I can use people to get stuff for me, you can fit under guy's arm when you walk, you can make anything look cute for you to do, you can walk under things and get in places that tall girls can't, and you more and likely will always look younger and not age that much.
But some disadvantages may be that you'll get frustrated with not being able to get things for yourself if your by yourself, it may cause SOME sexual interference with certain positions, and you can't kiss your boyfriend unless you get on your tip toes if he's much taller than you or you may need something to stand on,
These are all I can think of for now. I hope this has helped. If you want to, go ahead and contact me by any means of communication on my profile if you wanna chat on this subject.

There are advantages and disadvantages for both which is commonly demonstrated in the personal life vs. work life scenario. Short girls can attract all sorts of guys (any height) and they are perceived as very cute. But when it comes to the work force, they have to work harder to be taken seriously. Tall girls seem to have the complete opposite problem. They appear more intimidating to guys and probably only guys taller than them will approach them. But the tall girls have less of a hurdle at work.

There are some advantages to either one, but I think that there are more advantages to being short. Men won't be intimidated by your height, you can wear heels without feeling self-conscious of being too tall, you have an easier time with clothes( if the pants are too long, you can have them hemmed- if they're too short, then you're out of luck), it's easier and more comfortable to hold your baby's hands when you're teaching them how to walk( this is based on my being short, and my cousin being tall, comparing stories), etc. I definitely don't think that height matters as far as looks - there are just as many short beautiful women as there are tall ones, and I'm not saying that tall women aren't happy, I just think it's easier being short( I'm 5'2" and I love it!)

absolutely no, i'm a short guy and that i love short women. they're honestly those for me. Tall women make me quite uncomfortable. also i imagine tall men who want a lady who's a foot shorter than them are basically creepy and quite insecure too. If a guy cant be tender with someone who's already 4 inches shorter than him and a lady cant be tender with a guy who's already 4 inches taller than her then those human beings have severe themes.

There are advantages for both short and tall women...and disadvantages as well.
Short women have more choices in men because, generally, women like their men to be taller than them. Conversely, tall women might have a hard time finding guys tall enough to satisfy them.

Being short:
Advantages:
-more choice in men
Disadvantages:
-clothes are always too long everywhere..... legs and arms. It's easy to shorten hems of pants and dresses but not shirts with cuffs.
-it's difficult finding jackets to fit, especially the sleeves.
-we aren't taken as seriously as taller women
-taller women seem to look 'down' on us and take over situations.
-we don't seem to have as many opportunities as taller women in the work force.
-if we gain a few pounds, it shows immediately.
-if we have a short partner, taller people think we're a 'cute' couple..... even if we're middle aged. I don't think people realize it sounds negative to us.
-it's annoying having to find a stool to stand on to reach things most people can reach with ease.
-in most cases, wearing high heels won't cause a short woman to become too tall. However, some of us have very small feet too and can't find dress shoes to fit. Childrens shoes are not an option because they don't have enough support. Girls 8 yrs. old wear the same size shoes as me but weigh half as much!
-Actually, I don't mind being short but I wish my feet were bigger! :o)
