As far as fetishes go this one is odd, but everyone has them and at least this one saves lives. All fetishes go back to very early childhood, where some physical action or trait became associated with sexual feelings. Most guys have an instinctual drive to protect and defend their mates. You just took it to the next level, I guess.
Two things you should consider. First, talk to your doctor about performing CPR on your healthy wife. Even though it's kinda weird behavior, it's not lascivious or demented; and you need professional advice about what (if anything) you're doing to your wife. Don't just rely on the advice of random Yahoos.
Second, you have to be prepared to perform CPR on a MAN should the occasion arise. You're associating a life-saving technique with sex. There could be a day when a person's life may depend on your performing CPR. You need to be prepared for this and come to terms with your fetish. You cannot have conflicting feelings that could cause delay and risk a person's life.

Personally I think you should talk to someone. In the meantime, stop doing chest compressions on your wife. I am a nurse, and I was a CPR instructor in the past, and I have done CPR on real people more times than I like to think about. There's nothing romantic or sexual about it. You can do serious damage to your wife's ribs, and if your hand position isn't exactly correct, you can lacerate her liver or rupture her spleen (meaning: fairly rapid and painful death). If you must do CPR, I suggest you invest in a CPR instruction mannequin. You can pound away on that until the cows come home. As for doing artificial respiration on your wife, I don't think you could do her any damage, as long as you're gentle. I just hope you use mouthwash first. I still recommend you go see a therapist, though. Or become an EMT; I guarantee the first time you have to do CPR in an emergency, it won't seem like so much fun. Believe me, it's nothing like what you see on TV.

People have all kinds of fetishes, so I do not think it is wierd... just different.
With that said, you should NOT do chest compressions on your wife. You can actually mess with her heart, break her sternum or ribs, etc. That is a dangerous thing to do. You can pretend, but not press down.
She may be ok with it, but not know the potential for injury involved.
Best Wishes,
sue

people have fetishes on all sorts of things
any sort of fetish is ok, as long as the partners are cool with it.
one piece of info: i learned in nursing school, when i learned cpr, that it is dangerous to do chest compressions on people whose heart are beating because you might injure them or cause their hearts to stop.
so if you do 'compressions' i suggest you do kinda pretend ones, like not press on her.
mouth to mouth should be okay if you dont bloe too hard..again you could hurt someones lungs if you havent been trained how.
maybe take a cpr class ;)

this is an advanced case of wanting to play doctor ,
obviously you were deprived of this as a kid
and as long as you keep it mild and dont hurt any body it is only weird and abnormal.
this is nothing to worry about ,there are millions of weird and abnormal people around ,
just becarefull that it does not devellop into insanity
that could be dangerous for somebody

As long as you arent doing it with all your might, then she should be ok. As far as it being weird I've known guys who wore diapers to work under there business suits. I think that a good rule to follow is: if its not hurting anyone then it isnt anyone elses business. But its cool that your wife is in on it with you.

Is any fetish normal? Compressions do not hurt a beating heart.
