Does the little town of Silent Hill exist at all? For all we know, it could be in another dimension still in existence. Can anyone help me? (I know it's a movie, but for curiosity sake, I want to know).

For the movie the website said it used a town called Centralia in Pennsylvania. It is about 5 hours from where I live. It is a real town with a similar history to Silent Hill.

However the game came from Japan. I do not know it there was a town that was the basis for the game. I found it amazing that a town was found that was similar to Silent Hill in real life. It makes you wonder.

If I remember correctly, it's based on an actual town in Pennsylvania (Centralia?) where a similar coalfire burned for years, and may still be burning.

That's about it, though. Personally, I think since somebody thought it up and invited so many others over to play...it does indeed exist somewhere on some other plane.

Not on Google Earth. Probably not even as a Schrodinger shadow in the multiverse because you would have to bend the laws of physics in hazardous ways that would be hard to describe. That place is only in the Xbox and imagination!

Well, it's possible that there's another dimension where it exists, but for all intents and purposes, it's not a place you can go, except in your imagination.
