I got my boyfriend an egyptian dagger for Christmas. The sheath has a bunch of hieroglyphics on it and I would like to know what they mean. I have tried looking for the translation on the internet, but I can't find anything. Can someone please tell me what they mean or where I can find out what they mean?

This is one side of the sheath

The previous answerers are right unfortunately, it's a bit of a mash-up of glyphs. There are one or two words that can be made out, but these look like they've been copied randomly: nb.t : Lady, rx: know, possibly rx.kw: I have known, wat: road/way

I couldn't find the sheath only the Knife itself.Sorry but there are no hieroglyphs as far as I can pick up on the knife The lion depicts courage and strength. The God is Osiris (sort of) but the beard should turn up.Osiris was the God of the Underworld . The female is not a Goddess but just a woman in the pose of a Pharaoh (arms folded across the chest). The beetle is a Scarab associated with life giving. The feathered wings are usually associated with the Goddess Ma-at,balance and order.
The dagger appears to be a modern interpretation of
Pharonic symbols not a museum copy. You very seldom find modern Egyptian copies if things like this have any meaning. Hieroglyph take years to be able to read let alone write. But enjoy it ,doesn't matter about it not being exactly precise and I'm sure your guy will love it.

I'd wager they're completely random? But maybe that's just me.
