what is wrong with my computer no sound is coming out.?

i plug my headphones in my computer and no sound is coming out. the same with speakers. i opened up the computer nuthin is loose. i restart my computer and i play some music and it always stops at 6 seconds into the song. and i stops workin after that.

might be bad ram

Click start, control panel, sounds and audio devices. Make sure the volume is up, then, click the hardware tab. Find your audio device, and click troubleshoot.

I would say to reinstall your card. Not sure why it would do that though.
