meet in a public place (coffee shop) and have a friend hide nearby at another table. that way, if he creeps you out your friend will know and call your cell phone, allowing an escape. if he's aggressive, it'll be a million times safer with your friend there, and keep it public. generally trust your instincts and exercise caution. congrats, though! : )

Make sure you tell someone where you are going. Tell them that you will call by a certain time after the date and that they should worry if they don't hear from you. Just to be on the safe side.
Meet somewhere public - Not at someones house.

I say go for it. But meet in a very public place, dont go anywhere alone with him or get in a car with him. If he is respectful and serious he will not have a problem with it. I met my girlfriend online. We have been together for 3 wonderful years.

I dont recommend to do so...actually i say no...because u never wat sort of a person he is...how can u trust him? how can u trust a chatting thing?
