Nope. The week before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times. Besides that time, there are other times you definitely do NOT want to come: Mid-December to the first week in January, the three weeks centered around Easter (spring break), Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July or the first 3 weeks of August, especially July 4, and any other school holiday. Veteran's Day was crazy this year.

Some of the best timest to go are from the last week of August (everybody's getting ready for school) to the first week of November. The lines are practically nonexistent, and you can practically walk on to the rides. Super Bowl weekend is a good time, as well. April can be very good if it's not around spring break. Just about anytime midweek (M-Th) is excellent as long as it is not around a holiday.

The best value for the Disneyland Resort Hotels is the Pacific Pier Hotel. If you are staying off-property, I really like the HoJo (Howard Johnson) www.hojoanaheim.com, or the Fairfield. Both are very close, and good family hotels. The HoJo has some pretty good rates, too.

It's crowded because almost everyone gets Thanksgiving weekend off. But yes, Disneyland is almost always crowded. Hey... if you go when it rains it's less crowded. But you can't really plan for that. Try weekdays in February.

Maybe a little, but that's mostly because of the weather, and because it's during the school year, so families are less likely to travel far to go to Disneyland for that reason.

However, I used to live close by, and I finally told my relatives that would visit me from out of town, that I would never go on any holiday or weekend, because it's ALWAYS a freakin' nightmare on those times, because it's so busy.
So, the short answer is; yes, but it won't matter, because it will still be too busy to really enjoy it.

Actually, (I'm kinda gettin' off subject here) my personal experience with Disneyland is Father's Day.
Most Dads opt for something else to do on "their" day.
Except for a 2 hour period (11:00AM-1:00PM), the place was like a ghost town.

Disneyland is ALWAYS crowded. Avoid weekends and school vacations. Get there early.
