No, I'm not in the music biz with connections, don't have tons of cash and am not a groupie. So what other options can I try ?

arrive at the venue early and walk the area looking for the tourbus,or hang out after the show in the venue and most artists will come out.sometimes if you know the nearest hotel they are at they will come down and hang at the bar so none of that will cost you a penny,only time or contact management or the artist/member of the band you wanna meet and that can sometimes get you an oppertunity.backstage is usually for family and close friends and some are very small so the passes are limited to a few per band member due to capacity rules of the venue.hope this helped ya

Either make friends with or see if you already have friends that work for companies that sponser concerts, OR get a job with one of those companies. major examples are beer companies. Miller, budweiser, etc. a buddy of mine works marketing for Miller lite, we get backstage all the time.
