The song "Complicated" by Avril Lavigne seems to come to mind. But seriously you should tell them straight up how you feel and point out how they've been acting. If they are really your friend they'll make an effort to stop and treat you nice regardless of whether you're alone together or around others. If not, than they aren't really your friend and are just being nice to get something out of you, in which case you shouldn't hangout with them anymore.

I wouldn't call them a TRUE friend!I would call this person a BACK- STABBER. True friends look out for each other and should build you up, not bring you down.
Treat others how you would like to be treated. If they are not doing the same for you, you don't need them.

This is what you call a fair weather freind. You are ok to hang out with if there is no one else available to them.
When this person wants to hang out with you say you have something else to do and let them figure it out.
