Microdermabrasion is a great opiton. You said that you used it already, but did you follow through and what kind did you use? An at home product should be of quality and use the same crystals that are used in a doctors office. Some use fillers and not the same crystals. Second, at home products are gentler than going for the treatment (which by the way you must go for several), so you see the effect over time. It is something you want to use 2-3 times a week for about 4 weeks before you see a noticable difference. It is a myth that it will cause the scars to become more noticable.
Another product that is new and is made specifically for the darkspots you are experiencing is Even Essence Complexion. It has an ingrediant known as lucentrix and is clinically shown to reduce and even eliminate uneven skin tone. You'll see results in as little as four weeks, but again it is something you want to follow through with. And with continuous use, the powerful results get even better. Used alone or, even better, with the microdermabrasion, you won't be disappointed.
I am a Mary Kay consultant, and so if I were to meet you and you presented those issues the products I would recommend as a daily regime would be as follows:
A basic set of cleanser and moisturizer for oily/combo skin to prevent future breakouts.
The night and day solution - the day solution protects you skin during the day with SPF 25, but more importantly, the night solution refines your skin. It has botanicals and vitamins in it, as well as peptides. Peptides help your skin produce collegin so it can fill in those lines and scars itself.
The Microderm set and the Even Essence.
All together the products cost just under 200 for about 4 months worth, but most consultants give a discount when you buy an entire skin care line, I do and I'm sure someone in your area does.
The last reason I would recommend these for you is it seems that you may be somewhat disillusioned after having products that I'm sure you paid a lot for not work out. With MK you have 100% guarentee and you get the entire price back or credit depending on what you want.
Check out all the products at the website below and feel free to contact me for questions or a referral in your area.
I hope this helps you!

theres a ton of products but, theyre expensive and have to be used all the time, nothing that you just use one or for a month and are done with. I see informecials for these products all the time. Its a sort of MAKE-UP that you use in CONJUNCTION with cleansers they provide. The 'makeup' basically fills in the dented areas to make your skin LOOK smooth and even. But as I said, its a solution that you have to KEEP buying, but on the plus side, the makeup- cleanser kit, comes with a HOW TO video and they come for VARIOUS skin tones so for example if youre fair skinned, you order the fair skinned kit and it containes a RANGE of makeup soley for fair skin. Im sorry that I dont recall the name because Ive not had this need myself, but these products exist and a search on the net should help you find it in no time. The video even shows people 'secrets' of applying makeup as a professional does, to use highlights and shading techniques to draw the eye away from your problem areas and enhance others...anyhow- good luck. (btw, personally I stear clear of the over the counter and prescription acne products and I wash my face 3 times a day, once in the morning with IVORY no perfume no dye containing "soap" because its pure and MOST soaps cause breakout because they have dyes and perfumes. Then in the afternoon when I see my face is greasy again, I use ONLY a hot washcloth NO cleaner or soap at all, and again as Im going to bed.) Everyones skin is different though but its mainly dyes and scents that are in soaps and shampoos that irritate sensitive skin types. Im almost certain that CHER and Victoria Secret hosted the infomercial if that helps you find it,

Hormones during pregnancy can cause havoc with your skin. Talk to your OBGYN. Or just call his office and speak to a nurse.
Also, try to relax when you can, stress can make lots of skin problems worse. Fresh air and exercise will also help. Go for a walk, show the neighbors the new baby....you will soon find that you are the only one looking closely at You. Baby's are great that way.
Relax, all will improve with time.

Hi, not sure where you are, but i have suggestions (stop scrubbing !!!! ).. okay where were we :~
1) www.essentialaura.com - organic essential oils - these are the best of the best - I got helicrysum and frankincense and myrrh and put a few drops in almond oil (they have info on their site as well). - i have used this to calm my skin down and go back to normal (like when i went for a facial at the local dept store and the lady made my skin raw coz she put so many treatments on it, eeeek!) I am saving up to get the Rose hip seed oil they have on there - it also is supposed to literally regenerate your skin, haven't tried it though - website is full of info
2) www.elizabethgrant.com - she is an english lady (mid 80's now) who developed a whole bunch of cremes that help with restoring the face. They can be rather expensive but if you can find her on a shopping channel (i think her website has her schedule) then you can get cheapo package with day and night creme in it. i have used her stuff on and off alternating with stuff below for about a year or more now..
3) www.wonderoil.com - emu oil is nice for the skin too - your face will just drink it up - anti-inflammatory - very healing (i love this stuff)
4) this is what i am into now (though i do use the other stuff above occasionally) - coconut oil - just the organic virgin coconut oil that is edible (you can find in health food store, or on ebay) - it tastes of coconut and i cook with it, eat it (put on toast and in my tea) and also put on my face - my sun freckles are fading, wrinkles disappearing, and people actually think i am 10 yrs younger. I love it love it love it :) yum! try this one - it's the cheapest and prob most beneficial for you, and easiest to use..
Quote from Bruce Fife's book p 118 - "i started taking coconut oil internally for its many benefits five weeks ago. Immediately i noticed a consistently higher energy level, as well as a drastic decrease in my cravings for junk food. I also began using the coconut oil on my face and body, but i never expected to watch years' worth of keloid scars from injuries, surgeries and acne start vanishing before my eyes."
Yup, you will have your pretty face back in no time at all.
p.s. be sure you take some cod liver oil or stuff like Swiss Herbal superhalibut oil capsules to get your Vitamin A and D - those are your "skin" (and eyesight) vitamins - they work synergistically with the coconut oil... yay beautiful again :)

There are silicone fillers you can use on your skin that are safe & effective in smoothing out fine lines and scars. I'm thinking of a product Non Toxic Silicone Plus offered at hsn.com $26.95
There is also another product at hsn.com from Serious Skin Care - A Primer with Silicone $22.50
Hope this helps

microdermabrasion is just going to make the scaring worse. Vitamin E oil can help or talk to a dermatologist about other treatments. Scars can take a long time to heal, be patient.

my suggestion is to use more gentler products. I used to use harsh products for acne that are all medicated but too much of these medicines are way too harsh for ur skin. One or two is fine though. I’ve used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse.
i have oily, acne-prone skin too. and i used to have a scatter of pimples all along my forehead too. but now it stopped and currently i only have two tiny whiteheads on my chin (barely noticeable).
But I have some acne scars on my cheeks and, thank goodness, they are actually fading away in a reasonable pace. i also, have some rough patches on my skin leftover from acne scars but they are becoming as soft as the rest of my skin with help from my skin products.
for the dark marks (acne marks), use AMBI skin lightening cream sold at drugstores, target, walmart, etc. for around $4.99.
Here are the products I am currently using that has been treating my skin like a miracle:
cleanse with morning burst cleanser by clean and clear in the morning and oxygenating fizzing cleanser at night (also by clean and clear). use cooling daily pore toner by clean and clear and do not use an astringent which will strip away natural oils and cause ur face to produce more oil than needed.
use an oil-free moisturizer with spf 15 and above for day. use dual action moisturizer by clean and clear for night.
use persa-gel 10 for breakouts and pimples.
and use a clay mask containing sulfur once or twice a week (more on days of breakouts). try queen helene mint julep masque. or proactive refining mask. and dab on a spot of it directly on ur pimples without rubbing it in. just dab lightly! and leave it on overnight. it should become smaller, less red, less noticeable, or disapear completely the next morning.
exfoliate with the Neutrogena invigorating foaming scrub only once a week.
If u use makeup, use only oil-free and water-based foundation (but I suggest u not use foundation at all because oil-free or not, it will clog ur pores), and oil-free powder and concealer. Try getting one that contains acne-fighting ingredients (look at some Neutrogena products).
DO NOT use toothpaste or deodorant or any of those weird "remedies"!! they are only myths and will only ruin ur skin condition even more! stick with things that are MEANT for ur face.
i hope that helps! :]
