parents are the first teachers of a child.parents teach the child to speak, walk, smile, eat and everything else. a childs first education starts from home.parents consciously or subconsciously teaches the child about religion, morality ,social behaviour and their attitudes toward life. after 5 years or teaching a child goes to school to carry out his 'teachings'. schools are important for achademic curricular and social intercation. but the lives of children are shaped at home. children from troubled home never prosper in schools rgardless of how good the school is. similarly, a good , well cared , emotionally sound child will prosper everywhere.

Parents played an important role in teaching their children because as parents they are our first teacher who taught us many things...our first toiletry...doing the potty...teaching us the first word ...the first step...and every first act that a child did...from emulating and imitating...as the child is growing up from infancy to childhood.Whatever the child becomes as he/she grows in age, is a manifestation of how she/he is being nurtured and raised by by her/ his parents at home.

Here's your answer. It's plain and simple. There is ONE teacher in the classroom, with 20 kids (in the primary grades) and up to 35 kids in the upper grades. ONE teacher. So if the kid comes to school with no education background, he or she is behind. Teachers send homework home so that the things learned in school can be reviewed one on one with another adult (i.e. the parent). If the child is low, or if they need to catch up, it is difficult for the teacher to find time to spend 1 on 1 with the student. And with the pacing demands of the math and language arts subjects, they cannot spend too much time on one topic.
