When I working at the Hound station a few years ago, there was a hostel across pretty much across the street. If you walk out the main doors of the station, go straight until you get to the main road (other side of the park), turn right and walk, you'll see a hostel/bar place on your right hand side. I stayed there and it was decent, although I can't remember the rates, something like 50 bucks for the night, although I'm not 100% on that.

If you don't want to rent a hotel room, you'd be better off to take the Airporter bus from the Greyhound Depot out to the Vancouver International Airport. It's a more pleasant place to wait and has amenities, like cafeterias, coffee shops and washrooms. There are also video games to play, computers to use, and lots more stuff to pass the time than you'll find in the Greyhound Depot. And, because of checkin regulations at YVR, you're assured of a more secure place to wait. There is a hotel that is part of the airport too, so you could rent a room and get a decent sleep before you fly our the next morning.
Too bad about the long gap before you fly out, because that's a long trip all by itself!
Come back and see Vancouver some time!

in case you could take Amtrak, there's a return and forth to BWI from the BWI Amtrak station it particularly is amazingly close to BWI. it particularly is not the downtown Baltimore Amtrak station and not all the Amtrak trains give up there. you could in all probability discover schedules on line. i'd think of the bus station would be risk-free see you later as you waited close to the value ticket window and did now not nod off. i do now not be conscious of appropriate to the risk-free practices of the restrooms. BWI isn't very close to Columbia. How would you get to Columbia? Taking a cab from the airport would now not be extra value-effective as airport taxis are frequently extra costly simply by airport costs. a right away taxi from Baltimore Greyhound would be extra value-effective than a return and forth to the airport and yet another return and forth to Columbia. examine on line and/or make some telephone calls.

The earliest Airport Bus Route #3 (http://www.yvrairporter.com/xPdf/Schedule2006.pdf)
leaves at 7:22 am Bus Depot Bay #4 and arrives at 8:08 am
There is no municipal bus service on this route this early in the
morning.( http://www.translink.bc.ca/default.asp)
Approximate charges for taxi's are $23-$26 CAN. 24 hrs. day
I think your best bet is to go to the airport directly on arriving.
Go by taxi. There is a Fairmont Hotel at the International Terminal. The Fairmont Hotel is very highly rated.

I think you will be fine. That particular terminal is not too bad. If it were LA, I would say no way. But that is a nice terminal. Bring a blanket in your carry-on, that terminal is a little cool this time of year.
Good luck.

Canada is pretty cool and you won't have much time, so yeah, stay at the station. They might even have a place right at the station for just such situations.
