You have to call your DR. first of all. A small ammount of spotting can be normal during implantation....(When the fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus.)
Just call your dr. to make sure!

the same thing happened to me at 11 weeks it was very light red spotting. Being my first pregnancy (and having tried for 4 years to concieve) i freaked like you wouldnt believe.
I went to my Dr and she even said she thought it was a miscarriage and sent me for an ultrasound. I cried all day and then that afternoon the ultrasound showed everything to be fine i cried some more in happiness that everything was ok.
It has happened once since and it seems only when i strain to go to the loo.
Get it checked out if you are still concerned as i would hate to think you ignored your instincts from being swayed by what you read here.
Good luck
I am 26 weeks and going well - these things sure know how to grow...........i am getting big.

A little spotting is normal and not usually anything to worry about. If it continues or becomes more than spotting contact your prenatal care provider immediately or go to the emergency room. Congratulations!

Spotting and cramping are normal during the first few weeks of pregnacy. However, to ease your mind, talk to the doctor. At any time you are unsure of something, call the doctor. If, you have a good doctor, they are generally understanding and compassionate.

Call your OB to be sure. However, it's not unheard of for pregnant women to keep spotting during the time they'd normally be having their periods. This has fooled many women into thinking they were NOT pregnant.

I always called my OB/GYN office and asked if I should worry about anything I thought was weird during my pregnancy. If they think there is cause for concern, they will ask you to come in for a checkup ASAP. I hope everything is fine.

If it stopped for good you should be OK but if it turns to brown and keeps up or get worse you need to call the doc I would call anyways and tell them just so they are aware. I had red blood then turned brown for a few weeks then turned to heavy bleeding and I lost it so be careful and good luck.

no spotting is not normal. if it happens again then go to a doctor. some woman still have their periods (Not many) while being pregnant. but spotting could also be a sign of a miscarrage. expecially if you get stressed out about anything.
