Both require strong government support to survive. Both despise free enterprise.

Both pretend to be something other than they are.

Socialism has never existed except on paper.

Capitalism is a form of usury the leads to what is now called fascism.

The U.S. is supposed to enjoy free enterprise, which is why it is intentionally confused with capitalism by capitalist propaganda.

Both require strong control over the general population.

The economical similarities aren't similar. They're structured completely differently. Government is never supposed to be involved in capitalism, however, is recognized in socialsim, as you probably already know. The only similarity I can see between the two is that they both hate communism religiously.

Sociallism and communism are not the same.
but socialism means the government would own everuthing, be responsible for your every need as far as living conditions, health, housing, travel, clothing, ect. the only similaries is that under sociallism there could be capitaliozation as long as it was control and opperated by the government. The government would make money though capilization internally and externally. It would be a socialist country operating under capitalist ideas and using capitalist ideas to provide for their citizens.

Under capitalism the governent would allow the citizens to uses capitalism to make money to provide for themselves while at the same time the governent would use the same system to provide soem socialist comforts ot the citizens though taxes, and contrubutions. examples are social security, welfare, health programs, employment programs ect, these are all socialist programs our government also uses.

From my poli sci class years ago the answer is democracy.

We had a graph with an x and y axis, one graphing government the other graphing economy. Although more examples, the 4 extremes are capitalism, fascism, socialism and Communism.

capitalism - free market, free elections
fascism - free market, dictatorship
socialism - controlled economy, free elections
Communism - controlled economy, dictatorship
