I have sensitive skin that's acne proned and it's extremely hard to find anything soft enough to keep from harming my face, yet strong enough to get rid of unwanted belmishes. As well as Im not too sure about make-up...I used a concealer that was water based and it made me break out even worse...Im not too sure of any good products in that area either.

READ THIS. IT WORKS.

I suffer from acne, too, but I recently found out a few things about the problem. I read that acne cannot really be treated or prevented 100% without a prescription or serious medications. Face wash and moisturizer have been working for me. I use Olay and clean and clear. I also use almay cosmetics to prevent it from getting irritated. Since using the minimal products on my face, I get rarely see one or two pimples on my face in the morning. Read the article (my source). I couldnt believe it, and I have tried proactive, too.

I wash and moisturize every day and night. I exfoliate and use a toner twice a week. Anymore than that and it brings it all back and gets irritated.

Good luck.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I suggest a complete skin care routine. You need a good cleanser meant specifically for oily skin and a moisturizer that is also specially formulated. I recommend Mary Kay, I may be partial because I am a consultant, but every face I see and fit with the right products improves. Check things out at my website and contact me if you would like a referral in your area since I'm in the Las Vegas area.

Acne cleanser- Clean and Clear or Pro-active. Make up- probably go for a tinted moisturiser, but apply after putting a base coat of a toner on. This lessens the effect of the make-up as for it has a protection of the pores.

Clinique is a great way to take care of sensitive skin and get rid of pimples as well as make sure that your make up doesn't clog your pores. It's available at good department stores. The rep can ask you questions to make sure you use the right formula for your skin as there are different products for different skin types. Good luck!

my suggestion is to use more gentler products.

I used to use harsh products for acne that are all medicated but too much of these medicines are way too harsh for ur skin. One or two is fine though. I’ve used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse.

i have oily, acne-prone skin too. and i used to have a scatter of pimples all along my forehead too. but now it stopped and currently i only have two tiny whiteheads on my chin (barely noticeable).

But I have some acne scars on my cheeks and, thank goodness, they are actually fading away in a reasonable pace. i also, have some rough patches on my skin leftover from acne scars but they are becoming as soft as the rest of my skin with help from my skin products.

for the dark marks (acne marks), use AMBI skin lightening cream sold at drugstores, target, walmart, etc. for around $4.99.

Here are the products I am currently using that has been treating my skin like a miracle:

cleanse with morning burst cleanser by clean and clear in the morning and oxygenating fizzing cleanser at night (also by clean and clear). use cooling daily pore toner by clean and clear and do not use an astringent which will strip away natural oils and cause ur face to produce more oil than needed.

use an oil-free moisturizer with spf 15 and above for day. use dual action moisturizer by clean and clear for night.

use persa-gel 10 for breakouts and pimples.

and use a clay mask containing sulfur once or twice a week (more on days of breakouts). try queen helene mint julep masque. or proactive refining mask. and dab on a spot of it directly on ur pimples without rubbing it in. just dab lightly! and leave it on overnight. it should become smaller, less red, less noticeable, or disapear completely the next morning.

exfoliate with the Neutrogena invigorating foaming scrub only once a week.

Try getting some makeup that contains acne-fighting ingredients (look at some Neutrogena products). or maybelline pure. concealer. i use physician formula magic cube concealer and it doesn't make me break out at all.

DO NOT use toothpaste or deodorant or any of those weird "remedies"!! they are only myths and will only ruin ur skin condition even more! stick with things that are MEANT for ur face.

i hope that helps! :]

i don't mean to sound like an infomercial but proactiv is actually quite amazing. i used it for 3 months when my skin got bad in early teen years, and i've had really clear skin since. If you are trying to put makeup over acne, it's just going to clog your pores and make it worse. my mother has really sensitive skin and she uses lancome products. Any other brands make her break out. Hope that helps!

Proactive is the only thing that worked for me. I was even on prescriptions! If it dries out your skin at first, use the clenser every day, and the other products every other day. And I only use it once a day, at night. The directions say to use it morning and night, but I never have time in the morning... They also make make-up!

Proactive was way too harsh for my sensitive skin. Completely dried my skin out and made it red. So I switch to Murad's acne line. I also went to see a deratologist who gave me perscription products.

As far as make-up. I love Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder. They make wonderful products.

Loreal has some good cleansers, or ask a pharmacist or a doctor. They can recommend a cleanser, since they know about the chemical reactions that go on. Try mineral makeup, no fillers or extra ingredients.
