Right after birth? About ten to fifteen pounds.

The water weight is about another five, and that will take about a week.

If you breast feed, your boobs are going to be heavy for however long you nurse.

The extra weight that you accumulated will come off when you start exercising again.

Hi:

Well,if you only gain that weight, then you should be able to lost at least 15-20 pounds right after birth.

Also, if you breastfeed any weight leftover from the pregnancy will also dissappear quickly. I would say about 1/2 pound per week. No dieting needed! Just don't go crazy thinking you can eat everything in sight.

Don't be shocked by the way your stomach looks right after birth. It will not stay that way. Your uterus needs to go back into place and size and that takes a few weeks. Longer if you aren't breastfeeding.

Overall, you should be pretty much back to your old self in 3 months if you gain the required amount. Gaining more than the 30 pds. will make it harder.

Well, some of that weight is baby, some is water, then there's the placenta, and of course the blood. Immediately after the birth, you'll still have a poochy stomach, so keep some of those yoga pants around. If you've eaten right and don't have additional health problems, most of that weight won't be fat. Just make sure after the delivery you keep pressing in on your belly like the nurse tells you, so all the afterbirth will come out and your uterus can contract back to its normal small size. Also, breastfeeding sometimes helps with losing the weight, since all your calorie-intake is going straight to the breastmilk.

about 8 pounds for the baby and 5 pounds for the amniotic fluid. Other waste fluids come off during the next few days but it doesn't amount to much. The rest you have to work off. Some people are lucky though. I have 6 kids and gained between 20 and 40 pounds with them and still left the hospital in my size 4 prepregnancy jeans. Others still wear maternity clothes for 3+ months after in order to keep from having to buy new clothes before they have the chance to lose any weight and wind up with a wardrobe you hardly wear before losing that weight.

My mom gained about 25 pounds when she had my sister, and then my brother and then me each time. she lost all the weight plus some within 2 weeks after having any of us. because having a baby in the house is so much work! but everyone is different.

it varies from person to person. i'll tell you what my midwife told me, this is a check list of the average pregnancy ....
The average baby weight: 7 1/2 lbs
The placenta: 1 1/2 lbs
Increased fluid volume: 4 lbs
Increased weight of uterus: 2 lbs
Increased weight of breast tissue: 2 lbs
Increased blood volume: 4 lbs
Maternal stores of nutrients: 7 lbs
Amniotic fluids: 2 lbs
Total: 30 lbs

That is pretty much the average weight gain. You could try asking after you have the baby if you can be weighed. but for a certain amount, everyone is different. good luck and i hope you find the answer you are looking for :)

Well,not meaning to be sarcastic, but the actual baby itself is a good 6-10 lbs,and then water weight maybe a pound..so around 6-11 pounds.

i gained 25 pounds with my twins, and after i gave birth, all except 5 pounds came off. but i looked better with it anyways. before i got pregnant i was like 112, it didn't look that good. i guess it depends on the woman. i also ate nothing but unhealthy food, so that has nothing to do with it. i did take Flintstones vitamins...that might help you.

the weight of the baby,

the placenta is usually 2-3 lbs,

& bodily fluids aren't alot, unless of complications, so plan on a minimal ,

( depending on baby size bigtime ) but if you gain 30 lbs , you may loose only 10-15 lbs. in that o.room...

& if you have a desire to get back to the norm, get as much rest , & take care of yourself, exercize at your level,

enjoy your baby...your family...yourself...

Breast feed that will make u lose weight and also running after a baby helps u out too. I can't decipher how much because it varies with different people.
