Well if you were a Mlb and you hit really hard but were kinda slow and could only run the 40 in 5.6sec I think (coming from somebody who at one time used to Play as a Mlb and also Outside Linebacker as well) I think that you would have to play in Zone coverage against the passes and runs and if you were that slow you Definately Wouldn't be covering the Receivers at all cuz they are alot faster than you cuz they run the 40 in Alot faster than just 5.6 in the 40.And when I used to play as a Mlb&Outside Lb I used to run the 40 in like I believe like about around 5.2 but I Had to be able to run fast because I used to Also be a Running back on Offense and bouth Punt And Kick Returner on Special Teams, but that was Back in my Jr.High&High School days though but since then I've gotten Bigger and Much Faster!!

That is too slow to cover receivers in NFL thats for sure. What level are you talking about? Blitzing would be difficult too, since most QBs could even outrun you.

You definately would need to work on your speed. Some lineman run faster than a 5.6! Being a MLB you have to be a solid tackler, instinctive, and cover tight ends and rb's out of the back field. I don't see a 5.6 cutting it bro.

It sounds as though you need to work on your speed. Most coaches are going for speed at any position anymore. You want LB's that can rush, cover the run, and drop back into pass defense. They want these qualities in this position because it helps to disguise the defense. Your best bet would be to work on your speed.
