to prevent cpu from overheating builtin exhaust fans are provided. keep cpu at spacious place. avoid playing games for longer times. avoid direct sunlight. keep the fan(s) clean. u know no machine can work for ever. it need some rest and care.

if its not overclocked than it shouldnt be a problem well also unless it a dual core.. but keeping ur case clean of dust and the fans open with pleny of ventilation should be just fine... if your really worrid u can upgrade the cpu heatsink and fan or even go to a water cooling kit...

I looked at the inside of my computer - and fan intake was covered in dust - vacuumed it out and temperature went down

if you are overclocking the CPU you will need a better thermal compound and a larger cup fan. a extra exhaust fan wouldn't hurt either.

get enough fans, and then add one more. Make sure you have heat sink on your processor. There is different kinds you can buy. Go to your computer store and ask them which heat sink is best.

And, if you have a computer desk it sits inside of, make sure there's enough air circulation around it. It can't sit in a closed cabinet
