"ours" and "we" are third person plural.

This poem is meant to be recited by two voices..so the point of view is from the fireflies...

the author states that the book (JOYFUL NOISE: Poems for Two Voices) is a:

"verbal duets for two speakers detailing the inner lives of insects"

Oh..and my favorite poem? it's:

The Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson

I learned it in grammer school and have never forgotten it

I'm not familiar with the poem Fireflies, but my favorite poem, and one we had to memorize in middle school, was Jabberwocky.

Byron

So We'll Go No More a Roving

So, we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.

Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a-roving
By the light of the moon.
