I have a cotten shirt that's too small. I was recommended by a friend to take it to the dry cleaners and alter it.

Do they actually do that?
How much would it cost roughly?

Some of them do if you go to a good one.

I see that you corrected to being too BIG. Since it is cotton it could be shrunk in a washing machine using hot water and machine dried, (that is if it's machine washable), if it is dry clean only, there are a lot of dry cleaners that alter also.

Some serve on the alter at a service.

Most of them will. I would guess an estimate of anywhere from 5 to 10 bucks, maybe cheaper than that. I would just call around tomorrow and ask.

They used to but I don`t know now. Call your local dry cleaners and ask if they do alternations. Alot of ppl do alternations now in their homes...You can probably find them in your weekly throw papers of on a grocery market bullentin board!
