1. Overestimating himself, underestimating the rest of the world. He really believed that he would be able to overpower anyone who tried to stop him, even after he was given an ultimatum before the French and British declared war on him.
2. Attempting to do battle in Russia in the winter. What an idiot.
3. Not completely erasing evidence of his crimes (obliterating whole concentration camps, rather than just tearing down crematoria.
4. His personal physician. In an effort to maintain himself (unnaturally) as a perfect Aryan specimen, he was being shot up with drugs and taking pills like crazy. Several of the medications worked against each other, causing him more problems instead of less. Not to mention, there are a lot of people who feel like if he hadn't been on all those drugs/medications, things may not have escalated the way they did (he was rendering himself insane).

I know, that's four. Sorry.

The three biggest mistakes Hitler made were from 1933 to 1941

1.- Blaming the Jews for the German defeat of WW I
This caused a deep hatred against the Jews and the subsequent killing of 6 million of them.
He should have included this intelligent and hard working people into his grand design of a greater Germany.

2.- The attack on Poland that caused England, the British Commonwealth and France to declare war on Germany.

3.- The attack on Russia on June 1941, and declaring war on the USA on December 1941 after the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor.

If after peacefully dominating Austria and Checoslovaquia respecting the lives of Jewish citizens, he would have avoided the previously mentioned mistakes, Germany today would be a world power and still have a tolerant and tolerable Nazi government.

One blunder that seems to have been missed is not embracing mass production.
The Germans were craftsmen. One for one, their weapons were generally superior to the allies. But they made them so carefully and meticulously.
For example, the Tiger Tank was the deadliest tank of WWII and the appearance of one or more of these heavily armed and armored beasts struck fear into allied ranks. Rightly so. But over the whole war, the Germans only produced 1,750 of them. Compare to the Russian production of its basic T 50's. A good medium heavy tank, definitely inferior to the Tiger but the Russians made 50,000 of them. They just kept coming.

I think there's a spiritual reason too. They had the spirit of antichrist and they touched the apple of God's eye, the Jews and other helpless people. God is not a bit player in these dramas.

i think of usually Hitler did not assume a conflict in 1939, after he invaded Poland. The conflict got here in all probability 3-5 years until now than Hitler and his commanders had planned for it. So it ought to alright be suggested invading Poland in 1939 exchange into his greatest mistake, that Germany exchange into basically in part arranged for the conflict while it began. Invading the Soviet Union exchange into extremely a significant mistake. it ought to alright have been his greatest because it did place Germany in a significant land conflict while it already exchange into engaged in what had exchange into by and massive an air and sea conflict. besides the undeniable fact that, Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union made an quite deep penetration and ought to in all probability have succeeded. Hitler made yet another extreme errors while he declared conflict on the USA later a similar 300 and sixty 5 days as he invaded Russia. This opened the door to U.S. logistical help to the Soviet Union and that, blended with the different issues, could instruct Nazi Germany's undoing.

One thing alot of people don't know about Hitler: he was very skeptical of new technology and weapons: he didn't trust them. So, with that in mind, I have to say his biggest blunder was not letting his aviation engineers pursue their plans of building a jetfighter. They could have had them about mid-way thruough the war, but he shutdown the program, and did not let them return to making jets till it was too late, in 1945. #2 BLUNDER: Invasion of Russia. He simply under-estimated the resolve of the Soviets, he called them "subhuman." Plus, he waited too late to begin the invasion and his troops got their butts kicked by the Russian winter. And fighting on two fronts spread his forces too thin. #3 Blunder: Again, back to his being a techno-phobe: The German physicists could have had the ATOMIC BOMB! But again, he did not trust the science behind it. All those great rocket scientists--many of whom the U.S. snatched after the war; they helped us get to the moon--had the design in 1943. Needless to say, dropping a bomb on London would have ended the war. Fortunately for us, and the world, Hitler did non know we were working on the A-Bomb too, or else he would have let his guys go with it!
