My brother got in a fight with this guy who probably is a trained fighter. Half of my brother's face is all swollen up, he couldn't see out of left eye, he have hard time to move his mandible, he's experiencing a lot of pain in side when he breathes, and he cannot walk since his thigh is swollen up from kicks. He says there's blood in his urine too.My brother keep say he'll be ok, but I'm worry. How will I know if my brother has suffered any serious damage or not?

The other guy is only 150 lbs and 5'9 or 5'10. My brother is 6'2 and 220 lbs. The fight last about two mins.

Blood in the urine...NOT GOOD! Do a search on blood in urine...

I agree, he needs to go to the ER. A costly lesson to learn if you don't have insurance, but at least he's alive to pay it. I hope he doesn't lose that eye. I don't think the fight was worth it.

I would say YES your brother should go to doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I'm no doctor (but I did get National Safety Council first aid training) in any case, those symptoms sound serious:

- half of face swollen up

- can't see out of left eye

- can't move his jaw

- pain in the side while breathing

- can't walk due to swollen thigh

- blood in urine

Your brother may have broken ribs and other internal injuries. He may also have a broken leg, facial injuries and a damaged eye.

He should go to the emergency room NOW (actually, he should have gone right after the fight - the symptoms would be less severe now)

Your brother's injuries sound pretty severe! He is probably bleeding internally, as one person said and that could kill him! Also, he probably has some fractured facial bones, which need to be treated. If he has a broken rib, it could puncture his lung! Put some ice on the wounds and...

Get him to the ER, NOW!!! Ask him to do it for you, if he resists. Also, the police should be called, since the other guy MUST have been some kind of experienced fighter to damage someone as big as your brother.

internal bleeding is cause for alarm.
the pain may be from cracked or broken ribs, but the blood needs attention.
There is also the need to assess concussion also, as people can drop even a few days after a severe hit to the head from internal brain bleeding.
If he doesnt go, get your parents involved. he needs expert help, and its better that you do it for him now than cry when he has long lasting injuries or worse, because you did nothing. he is in no state to offer suggestions.

take him

Take him to the ER as soon as possible! The blood in the urine is probably a signal of internal bleeding!

Blood in urine is never a good thing. Urge him to go to a doctor! At least he will know for sure.

Get his butt to the doctor or ER. He needs xrays to make sure nothing is broken. Peeing blood is never good either.

Which one of the guys is in jail? Did the police arrest both of them? Didn't the police get medical attention for them?

sounds like he has internal damage cracked ribs and stuff, definately needs to be checked out. if you know who did it press assault charges. if they are a trained fighter it is assault with a deadly weapon, the weapon being their hands and feet.
