Halo is rated M for mature because you're running around with a gun and your object is to kill stuff, in first-person. You can also attach a grenade to someone, watch them dance around, and then explode. Yeah, there's blood in other games, but it's only an issue when the object of the game is to make blood flow.

There's also occasional curse words and stuff.

Halo 3 will definately be a mature title, unless masterchief switches to airsoft and nerf, or otherwise doesn't show "violence".

The reason it's mature is that some kids don't know the difference between fantasy and reality. Sure, they know one's on a game and one's in real life, but ask young Halo players what they wanna be when they grow up, and quite a few will tell you they wanna be the masterchief. Some might even discuss things like sticking grenades to cars, etc.

They think it's cool to kill folks, and see nothing wrong with it because hey! it's what they do all day for fun on tv games, why not make the fun real? So what if I kill folks..? they can always respawn.

You can tell a kid "hey.. in real life, if they die, they ain't never coming back", and they just don't get it. Took my son almost 2 years to understand that when his grandfather died, he wasn't going to come back.

heavily, what the hell? at the start GTA isn't a ill sexual interest. I have not any concept the place you obtain that from. Secondly video games can not make you a murderer till you have a psychological ailment to start with. in case you sense like working out and gunning human beings down from enjoying Halo or in fact any interest then get help. Now.

Given that both Halo and Halo2 are rated M for Mature, it's likely that Halo 3 will be rated M as well.
