Thought the turf issue was equal for both teams myself, last year Mich got beat in Mich. In 2003 Mich beat OSU and OSU didn't cry. So yeppers think they had their shot and need to get over it until next year and try it again.

Your case is weak. USC should not get the shot, at least not over Michigan, Florida, Arkansas....why? Here...
Michigan - 1 loss, beat ND and Wisc...only loss to undefeated Ohio St.
Florida - 1 loss, if they win out they will have wins over LSU, Tenn., and Arkansas...only loss to 10-2 Auburn
Arkansas - 1 loss, if they win out they will have wins over LSU, Tenn., Auburn, and Florida...only loss to USC w/o starting RB and QB for most of game (at least 85-90% of snaps were without McFadden and Mustafa)
USC - 1 loss, if they win out wins over Ark. and ND...loss to OREGON STATE who is 7-4 and their other 6 W's come against teams w/ a combined 25-42 record.
USC has the worst loss of these teams, by far....USC is way overrated and the Pac-10 is not a tough conference like the Big10/SEC....
I agree Michigan had their chance, I dont think OSU would have won on a neutral ground and I dont think that the helmet to helmet penalty was justified and it could have cost Mich., but it was close enough and the defender should have known and going to someones home and winning is just part of football. SO....Mich should be out...
It should come down to he Florida/Arkansas game (if both teams win out). The winner should move on to face OSU. They will have beaten 3-4 top 25 teams who are actually worthy of being a top 25 team (USC beat Oregon/Cal/Nebraska but get serious and look at those teams closely, none of them are that good).
USC should have no shot at it anymore b/c of a very very disappointing loss to a 7-4 Oregon St. team who is not very tough. Thats a shame if a team can lose to a team of that caliber and still make it in the title game but losing to Auburn or OSU doesnt give you the chance. Winning the Pac-10 is not a challenge, there are 30 teams in this country that could easily win the Pac-10 if they swapped w/ USC. Could USC win the Big10 or SEC? No shot.......

After Notre Dame takes out USC on Saturday, the Irish should get a stab at Ohio St. Guaranteed though if USC wins out they will take #2 away from Michigan. At the same time, I would like to see an Ohio St.-Michigan rematch. Boy how we need college playoffs!!!

One word. Only conference champions ought to go to National title games. okay that was like 9 words.
The wcbasebal guy is a retard. USC beat Arkansas cuz Arkansas couldn't hang with them and didn't play defenece. Ask Darren McFadden himself.
USC did lose to Oregon State but apparently them officials and coaches thought that loss didn't matter otherwise they wouldn't be ranked No.3 right now. Anybody can be beat on any given saturday. 2 losses in 3 years?? 15 true freshmen playing and still in the natinal title picture?? man USC is surreal..Pete Carroll is one helluva coach.
And, the Michigan-Ohio State game was not as close as the score suggested. There's only one lead change and Ohio State almost never trailed.

It could happen that Michigan and Ohio State will meet again in the BCS championship, but Michigan needs a lot of help along the way. Michigan has nothing to be ashamed of and likely will go to a top rank bowl, like the Rose Bowl.

Well this bcs works wonders. i am personally a Bama and MIchigan Fan and hope to see Them buckeyes get spanked in january. and sure that may make ome people mad, but the BCS wasnt made to make people happy. Look at the cow college(auburn) afew years ago. they wanted in on the action in the national championship, but it didnt happen. so i say GO BIG BLUE. and even tho it pains me to say it, go irish beat usc, and burn afterwards.

USC's loss was to an unranked team. Michigan's loss was to the number one team in the country by three points.
That is why Michigan deserves a shot, not USC.
