your friends are weird ,i have never heard of this
,but i am European
,many of us dont even bother with bathing suits .
this must be an American thing

depends on how the suit fits... i tend to wear boxers under my boardshorts because of some parts rubbing against the inside of them... though i do have others that i go without in... its just a comfort thing

Most don't, but the suits are lined. If you don't have some kind of support, it can be a little... immodest if the suit gets clingy when wet.

I guess for modesty, lots of guys are ashamed of their bodies, or of stripping all the way to change in front of other guys. But seriously, it doesn't make sense. They get all soggy and heavy and are not fun to swim in.

I wear them when i'm wearing board shorts just because my luck is they would fall off and lil rick would be hanging out.

well personally the usual lining constricts and rubs my balls the wrong way when i get out of water. also my bating suit doesnt fit perfectly to my waist and my shorts slip slightly when i dive in. crack kills

i do not wear underwear under my jammer ,but i do under boardshorts so i do not get a bonner
