Give him the divorce, make him pay alimony, you still get the big house and won't have to worry about that jerk being there...

Well, if you both want different things, and you can't agree on them, I guess a divorce is in order. However, what about compromising?! Wanting a bigger house shouldn't be a reason to get a divorce. There's a lot more to this question.
He doesn't love you just because you want a bigger house. There's other reasons. Have you tried marriage counseling?
I guess if you really wanted the bigger house, you could get it yourself. Do you work? Is your credit good? Do you have children? Maybe between your pay and alimony, you could afford the bigger house after the divorce and you wouldn't need your husband for it.
If he doesn't love you, he isn't worth keeping. It's hard and I know it hurts, but seeing a professional therapist may help. I'm sorry you're going through this. I wish you all the best of luck.

Well he obviously has an issue with you about something. I mean a man doesn't just say I want a divorce when you say you want a bigger house. There is way more to this then you are telling

It is possible to have both-a bigger house and a divorce, but do you want a bigger house with this husband in it? Do not assume anything. Maybe he feels he failed you as a husband and provider, and maybe he was just joking--verify. When you feel calm, discuss your feelings, and act according to the clarified situation.

There had to be issues between you's two. That would be crazy if he just wanted a divorce because you told him you want a bigger house. Just give him what he wants

Its not the house thats bothering him this sounds likeit was a while coming and that was the straw that broke the camels back no way in hell is he going to spend more money on a bigger house when he isnt' happy in the one he's in now. only thing he would see in this new house is bigger morgage and more rooms to fill with furniture.

This was his wake up call .

Look, grant him the divorce, he moves out, you get the house, with him & his stuff gone, you'll have more room in your home & no longer need a bigger house. Everybody lives happily ever after.

sounds to me that there are greater issues here between the two of you. you need to talk to him and find out why he said this to you. my guess is that you are a demanding woman and you probably are putting too much strain on him so by telling him you want a bigger house, you are just strengthening his belief that he cant satisfy you.

you had to have signs that he was moving away from you before now. asking for a bigger house isn't typically a reason for divorce. there is more to this story, i think. however, if he wants a divorce, give him one. no use hanging on to a person who doesn't want you.

Ok here is what you do... Tell him you want to take him to his favorite store... With you driving and you having the airbag on your side - aim that sucker into a brick wall. Then ask him again that you want a bigger house.

OH and make sure you took out a policy out on his sorry behide.
