Okay, so if a person believes strongly about something on a moral level, and they have reason to believe their friend has committed an act which violate their said morals, should they discontinue the friendship as they have a great distance between them and only harm can come from future confrontation.

I dumped a friend because of her personal morals. She was a "taker". Oh, she looked like a giver but when I stood back and saw the behaviour I had to finally put my foot down and turn away. The final straw was her and her sister were taking her uncle to court saying he molested them as children. Every time she mentioned it, it was about the money they were going to get because they planned to sue him after he was found guilty.. Not about whether this man did it or not...always about the money. The uncle had tape recorded her sister trying to extort money out of him if he didn't cough up money, they were going to press charges...it was "stayed".

Another example. Her daughter was hit by a van in a crosswalk and was in hospital for a few days. The very first thing out of her mouth was how much money would come from the accident.

I can't be with people like that. You decide for yourself if your friendship is true or are you just tolerating this person and his/her behaviour?

NO, I WOULD NOT GIVE UP THE FRIIENDSHIP. EVERYONE
HAS DIFFENT WAY THAT THEY LIVE THERE LIVES.. IT OK
TO HAVE STRONG MORALS. BUT SOMETIMES WHAT YOU
BELIEVE THE OTHER PERSON MAY NOT FEEL AS YOU
DO.IT JUST TALK TO THE PERSON IN QUESTION AND LET
THEM NOW YOU REALLY FEEL. IF THEY HAVE ISSUES
THEN MAYBE BOTH OF YOU NEED TO JUST TALK ABOUT
HOW THIS BOTHER YOU, AND GO FROM THERE.

live by gods morals. if your friend has different ideas then you then you have to decide what you want out of your life. friends are not always going to agree and you dont have to do everything they do!
