The thing you need to change is your dedication. You need to dedicate time and energy to school and studying so that you are successful in completing your work. If you setup specific time to do school work and studying, you really do not have to miss times with your friends ( as long as you schedule time for them as well!).

If going to class is not the most important thing in your schedule, you already have a problem. Actually, it probably would be better, if at all possible, to spread out your classes, so that you have time to think about them before running off to the next class. If you bunch all of your classes together, you don't have time to absorb the material properly.

Hi!
I think one of the most important things in scheduling classes is your own sleeping cycle... for example, if you're a night owl, don't take 8 a.m. classes if at all possible... I fell asleep in cellular biology more times that I care to admit. :)
Also, try to get at least two but not more than three classes back-to-back... if you have big gaps between classes you will be more likely to skip the later one, but if you have more than three classes back to back you will feel like a hamster in a wheel.
If it's possible to only take M/W/F or T/Th classes that can be cool... makes it easier to have a job, for example. But the days you do have classes will be packed, so keep that in mind.
Anyway, don't forget to schedule a lunch break if you're going to be on campus all day!
Hope that helps!

Figure out when you are the most productive. For example -- my brain just seems to function better in the morning so I scheduled all my class in the AM. Also consider studying in the morning before classes instead of in the evening -- if you are a morning person like me! :-)
