That's a very hard question. Obviously it has no clearcut answer except in a legalistic sense (what does the law say our duties are - which is then dependent on the country and can include things such as, paying taxes, providing for ones children, not breaking laws, voting and so on). In any other sense it probably depends on ones culture, personally I would say it is my duty to consider others and attempt to make a rough utilitarian calculation of my actions and to take full responsibility of their consequences to anyone else.

The only duty of a living person is to get older and as his intelligence increases, he must pass on his knowledge to younger people.
Anything else is not his duty, its his option.

You mean moral duties, I assume. Our generation should act so as to improve the lives of later ones, or, at least, refrain from acting to their detriment. In a sense, each generation is the next generation's government, able to impose burdens on them without their advice or consent, very much as though we were taxing them. If we tax them, we should ensure that they receive fair benefit, though it were better that we let them decide for themselves which costs are worth what benefits.
