Try a local church or contact your local Department of Social Services.
I would try all of the ideas listed here. It's so great that you are looking out for her. I don't know many people that would step up like you are doing, to help. I hope you both have a Merry Christmas!!!

The below site has information about help with Christmas gifts. I'm planning to help someone myself this year. Just change the zip code on this site to where the single mom lives, and hopefully, she and her child will have a wonderful holiday. I'm a single mom and I know how hard I struggle every day to do everything!

I agree with the above. If you want to buy her some things, I think something new & personal would be a good idea. After that, going to a goodwill store would be a way to pick up items at a far lesser cost. Gift certs. ..gas, Wal Mart, McDonalds, will work too. Add the Lutheran Church to your list.

The Salvation Army,Red Cross,Church Groups,also try ur local
V.F.W.,American Legion. Any Veteran Group Will help a child.
If I had her add. i would send some things.Also I am a Vietnam Veteran .

The Salvation Army or Catholic Charities are two that you might try. I know that my church gets a list of familes in need from the Salvation Army, and I think a lot of others do too.

In my area you can contact the local Fire & Police Departments. They do different toy drives. If they don't maybe they can give you an idea.
