Registered Nurse here; First let me share with you, this is not my area of expertise. However, was the physician you saw a ophthalmologist (eye surgeon)? If not make an appointment and see a Doctor that specializes in only diseases, and abnormalities of the eye. Go for a second opinion if the initial physician was a ophthalmologist. I do believe you can be helped with your eye problem.
Thanks for the opportunity to address such a important question.

I am having trouble in understanding just what you are asking but I will do the best I can to answer your question.
A turned eye which is call Strabismus is usually noted in young children at which time is the best time for correcting it.
Perhaps you had it back then and it went untreated or if treated it has been treated as best as it can be without having surgery and there is nothing you can do about it now.
Strabismus left untreated can cause decreased vision in the eye that turns.Once that vision is decreased, there is nothing that can be done to improve the vision except for glasses and even at that the glasses can only correct a certain amount of vision and not all of it.
The only surgery that can be done after the vision is decreased is muscle surgery to correct the turn and at this point it would be considered cosmetic and few insurance companies will pay for cosmetic surgery of this nature.
Please seek the advise of an Opthalmologist as they are really the only ones who can really diagnose Strabismus effectively especially if it is minimal and possibly only happens when you are tired.
Sometimes parents and even patients see the wrong eye turning and it can often times be the alternate eye that is actually the offending eye and again, only an Opthalmologist can determine this thorough a dilated eye exam and will be able to tell you what your options are.

Sounds like you need to see a surgical ophthalmologist. This is a specialist in the field. Also if it could be Strabismus a condition of the eye that causes it to turn inward or become crossed.

I have heard Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors have stated they have had great success with this by taking soy Lecithin 3/ 3 times a day daily helps this problem as it feeds the nerve cell inside the eye .You can only do this if you have a good heart and no high cholesterol You want the liquid type not powered type This is the site I get mine from. You can also ask him questions.
www.nature-s-health.com Dr Cao is my personal adviser and I highly recommend him have met him so ask him on his web site before you go under the knife. He was a surgeon as well as an MD and TMC in his country.
Here is the other info to tell a little about your condition.
Yes you can get this as an adult see the web site. below

No one here can tell you exactly what the problem is. If your doctor was so unconcerned that she did not do tests to try to find out what is wrong then I would not go back there again. I would seek another doctor this time an ophthalmologist and report the first to the AMA if the second one finds something. With a lot of disorders more can be done to fix the problem if something is done quickly. Sometimes if you wait to long to see a good dr. nothing can be done. §
