Gave me advice about breaking up with an abusive boyfriend. I'll never forget it - it had such an impact on my life. I'm so thankful. Great question, by the way.

2 things:
1.) when I was 8yrs old, my friend & I went for a long walk (back then a mile was far!) and we were tired walking home. So I got this great idea--let's hitch-hike! A man in his 40's picked us up and brought us home, lecturing us the whole time about how we were lucky he wasn't a murderer or kidnapper (scared to death!!). brought us home AND told our parents what happened. Big trouble--good for me!
2.) I was in my 20's, and my car ran out of gas (how stupid am I?) on the highway @ 2:30 in the morning. No one was around, no cell phone then--just stuck. An elderly gentleman pulled over, asked what was wrong. When I said I was out of gas, he got back in his truck, took the next exit, bought me gas and put it in my tank for me. Wouldn't take any money from me and was very sweet. His name was William. Thanks again William!!

A stranger found my purse after I left it at the busiest bar. I was completely trashed, and had no idea where i had left it. I decided to go back to that bar the next day, and the bar had it!! Absolutely nothing was taken!! Wow, was I lucky.

When I was around 5, I was skating with my brother and with my dog and he tripped me (the dog) and I couldn't walk and my knee was all cut up and bleeding and this old lady came out and got me (sounds kind of creepy but not back then). She helped me inside her house and put this plant she grew on my knee and all this other stuff on my knee and drove us home. It was really cool. I never saw her after that though or remember her house.

lol woops mines all long.

Offered me a ride home - I had to turn her down, because I wasn't sure how my wife would react to me coming home from a doctor's appointment riding in a cherry red convertible with a cute blonde........

Sent me $100.00 in the mail. (I think it was one of my patients, but I have no idea which one) I guess that isn't really a stranger, is it?
