I don't know about being afraid of 'crowns', but the movie IT did make me look at CLOWNS differently. As far as the best, I would say Misery b/c everything in the movie looked EXACTLY how it did in my head while reading it. I love all his stuff, I just hate that usually the graphics are crap.

All of Stephen King's movies are good. One of my favorites is Storm of the Century. Some others are Rose Red, Pet Cemetery, Sleepwalkers.
